Ingredients explained
Vitamin C
Vitamin C is essential for collagen synthesis, and helps support healthy bones and cartilage. Its antioxidant properties also contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress, supporting overall joint health.**
Boswellia
For centuries, Boswellia Serrata or Indian Frankincense, has been used within traditional wellness practices.
Extracted as aromatic resin from the Boswellia tree, native to India and Africa, it is rich in Boswellic Acids (BAs) – powerful plant compounds.
Boswellia has a long history of traditional use for joint health and comfort. Modern research supports its role in promoting mobility and overall joint wellness.**
Type II Collagen
Undenatured Type II Collagen is extracted from chicken sternum cartilage. This UC-ll® form of collagen has been clinically studied to specifically support cartilage and joint function.
Type II Collagen's triple-helix structure has a unique mechanism of action, interacting with gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT) to help support a healthy immune response related to joint health and cartilage function, supporting a reduction in discomfort associated with aging joints.**
Manganese
Manganese is a vital trace mineral involved in many physiological processes. It acts as a cofactor for enzymes that support antioxidant defence and plays a key role in bone formation and connective tissue health.**
Manganese helps build and maintain strong connective tissue and bones, essential for lasting joint strength and mobility.**

FULL-SPECTRUM SUPPORT
Optimal joint health requires a full-spectrum approach. Our formula combines Type II Collagen for cartilage renewal, Boswellia for its active plant compounds, Manganese to support connective tissue, and Vitamin C for antioxidant protection – targeting all aspects of joint function.
UC-II RESEARCH
UC-II® collagen is backed by over 20 studies, including eight human clinical trials over two decades. Research highlights its benefits for animals, healthy individuals, and those with osteoarthritis. Studies have demonstrated that UC-II® improved joint flexion, range of motion, joint comfort and mobility.**
THE IMPORTANCE OF JOINT HEALTH
Joints are pivotal junctions in our body that do more than just connect bone to bone; they enable the fluidity of motion that carry us through our days. From the simple act of walking to lifting a child, joint health is the silent foundation upon which our daily lives are built.
STAYING ACTIVE AS WE AGE
Staying active as we age is essential for a joyful, fulfilling life. Movement and mobility lay the foundation for independence, whether it’s the freedom of a morning run or the calm of a yoga flow. Embracing all forms of movement celebrates life’s potential, supporting both physical health and mental well-being.
THE HISTORY OF BOSWELLIA
Boswellia, or Indian frankincense, has been valued for centuries in Ayurvedic and Middle Eastern medicine. It has long been used in sacred ceremonies and praised as 'Guggul' – a dried gum resin – in Sanskrit texts as early as 1700 BC, and is highly regarded for its plant properties.
Everything you need to know about Type 1 + Type 2 collagen (and how they live in harmony)
Dip your toe in the world of collagen and you soon start to see that, beyond the well documented skin, joint and whole-body benefits, it’s more complex than expected. By our VP of Nutrition & Education, Jo Woodhurst.
WHY IS NOBLE COLLAGEN IN A CAPSULE RATHER THAN IN POWDER FORM?
The reason our Noble Collagen is in a capsule is because it utilizes Type II collagen. This type does not need to be hydrolyzed to exert its action in the body. Its preserved structure in a capsule enables it to reach the gut intact**. Additionally, the recommended dose for Type II collagen is 40mg, and therefore is most suitable in capsule form.
WHAT IS (UC-II) TYPE II COLLAGEN, AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO WORK?
UC-II is a type of undenatured Type II Collagen commonly used to support the integrity and flexibility of joint cartilage. Research has shown improvements in joint comfort, mobility and flexibility from only 3 weeks to 42 days** . The most significant, noticeable and sustained benefits may be gained after 3 months of long-term, consistent daily use**.
IF I TAKE NOBLE COLLAGEN SHOULD I STILL TAKE TRUE COLLAGEN OR WILD COLLAGEN?
Yes, True and Wild contain Type I 'hydrolyzed' collagen peptides. Type II Collagen is described as 'undenatured' collagen. These serve different purposes in the body. While Type II is focused on targeted joint health, Type I provides general support to whole body health and generalized support for joints*. Those with specific health goals around joints and mobility would benefit from the additional, targeted benefits from Noble Collagen, alongside their True or Wild Collagen ritual.
WHERE DOES TYPE II COLLAGEN COME FROM?
Our Type II Collagen is sustainably sourced from chicken sternum cartilage. This source is specifically chosen because it naturally contains a high concentration of Type II Collagen, which is beneficial for joint health**.
IS NOBLE COLLAGEN SAFE TO TAKE DURING PREGNANCY OR BREASTFEEDING?
You should always speak to your health care provider before introducing any new supplements or dietary changes during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Due to ethical constraints, studies in pregnant and breastfeeding individuals are limited, so we are unable to make specific recommendations. If in doubt, please consult your healthcare provider.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS ASSOCIATED WITH THESE INGREDIENTS?
UC-II® and Boswellia are generally well tolerated when taken as directed. We always advise consulting your healthcare provider before starting any new supplement, especially for those with pre-existing medical conditions or whilst taking other medications.
IS THIS SUPPLEMENT VEGETARIAN/VEGAN-FRIENDLY?
This supplement contains collagen derived from chicken, so it is not vegetarian/vegan friendly.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TRUE/WILD AND NOBLE COLLAGEN?
Collagen is categorized into different 'types', with each grouping having its own unique characteristics. So far, at least 28 different types of collagen have been identified. Type I Collagen is the most abundant in skin, bone, teeth, ligaments, organs, and tendons**. Type II Collagen is the primary type found in cartilage, and commonly used to support joint health and mobility**. Type I collagen is hydrolyzed (broken into smaller peptides for absorption), while Type II in Noble is undenatured and works through a different mechanism.**
