Promotional Gifts & Endorsement Policy

Made By Brave, Inc. (“Ancient + Brave”) is committed to authenticity, transparency, and compliance with the rules and regulations applicable to marketing our products. This Promotional Gifts & Endorsement Policy (“Policy”) applies to recipients of products that were “gifted” by Ancient + Brave. Product(s) we provide for free, with no connection to a purchase or order, are considered “gifts” under this Policy. If you have received a gift from us, this Policy applies to you.

You understand and agree that Ancient + Brave is not responsible for your use or misuse of the product. By accepting the gift, you are solely and fully assuming all risks and liabilities, foreseeable and unforeseeable, arising out of the use or misuse of the product, including but not limited to risks of physical injury, allergic reaction, or other harm. 

There are no strings attached to any gifted product; recipients have absolutely no obligation to post about our company or products. However, if you do choose to post publicly, it is in your and the company’s best interests to adhere to this Policy, and your full compliance is required.

This Policy incorporates and reinforces the FTC’s Guides Concerning Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (“Guides”). Ancient + Brave encourages all recipients to review the Guides and also the Disclosures 101 for Social Media Influencers (downloadable here), which provides plain-language information about how to properly post about gifts.

If you choose to publish content related to the gift, you must:

• Clearly and prominently disclose that you received the product as a gift. It must be completely obvious that you did not pay for the product.

• Appropriate language includes phrases like “Gifted by”; “Thanks Ancient+Brave for the free product”; etc.

• The disclosure must be visible as a video overlay and/or at the beginning of a caption, or if live-streaming, repeated in audio throughout the stream.

• Be honest about your experience. Do not make any false, misleading, or exaggerated claims.

• Do not say that the product cures or treats any health condition unless you know that Ancient + Brave has the scientific proof to back up your claim.

• Do not imply that the results you experienced are universal or guaranteed.

You own the content you create and post. However, by tagging or mentioning A+B or our products in the content, you agree that A+B can:

• Repost your content and mention you and the content on our brand-owned channels, and

• Contact you if we wish to feature your content in paid or promotional media.
