Ancient + Brave Guide to the Hamptons

4 Min read

Where to eat, move, restore, and gather during a summer out East.

Summer in the Hamptons has its own rhythm. Early morning movement classes, neighborhood farm stands, long lunches with friends, days by the water, and golden evenings spent gathering outdoors.

Whether you are planning a weekend in Montauk or spending a little more time exploring the East End, consider this our guide to some of our favorite places to eat, move, restore, and gather throughout the season.

Start Your Morning with Movement

One of the things we love most about the Hamptons is how naturally movement becomes part of the day. Whether it's an early Pilates class before breakfast or a mindful reset through breathwork and meditation, there are countless ways to begin the morning feeling grounded.

The Class has become one of our favorite places to reconnect with both body and mind. Blending movement, music, and breath, each class offers something far beyond a traditional workout.

For Pilates lovers, New York Pilates is always on our list. With several Hamptons locations and convenient seasonal class packages, it's an easy addition to any summer routine. We also love KZ Pilates, a beautiful boutique studio offering thoughtfully programmed reformer classes in an intimate setting.

If you're looking to switch things up, Montauk Yacht Club is another destination worth adding to your list. With its new padel courts opening this summer, it's the perfect place to embrace one of the fastest-growing sports while enjoying a little friendly competition with friends.

Before heading out for the day, we almost always add True Creatine+  to our morning routine. Whether we're making our way to Pilates, joining a community ruck, or spending the day exploring the East End, it's an effortless way to support strength, energy, and recovery, helping us get the most out of every movement-filled day.

Farm Stands Worth the Stop

If there's one thing we never skip while we're out East, it's visiting the local farm stands. They aren't simply places to shop, they're part of the rhythm of the Hamptons, making it easy to eat seasonally, support local growers, and build simple meals around what's freshest.

No stop is more iconic than Round Swamp Farm, Beloved by locals and visitors alike, it's famous for its prepared foods, fresh produce, baked goods, and its legendary chicken salad (which absolutely lives up to the hype). It's the first place we'll stop before heading to the beach.

For organic produce and one of the area's loveliest cafés, Amber Waves Farm is another favorite. Whether you're picking up vegetables for dinner or lingering over breakfast, it's a beautiful reminder of just how much the East End celebrates seasonal food.

Sagaponack General Store has also become one of our favorite gathering places. Stop in for coffee, breakfast, or picnic provisions before settling onto the porch and watching the morning unfold.

If you're looking for somewhere a little more tucked away, Vicki's Veggies is a true local gem. Family-owned and refreshingly unassuming, it's known for fresh produce, homemade prepared foods, and the kind of warm hospitality that's becoming harder to find.

You'll also find us stopping by Balsam Farm Stand, Spring Close Farm, and Share the Harvest Farm, each offering its own take on the East End's rich farming tradition.

Beach Days

A summer guide to the Hamptons would not be complete without time by the water. In East Hampton, Main Beach, Egypt Beach, and Georgica Beach are all beautiful places for a morning walk, an afternoon swim, or a few quiet hours with a good book.

Farther east in Montauk, Ditch Plains is known for its surf culture and relaxed energy, while South Edison Beach offers another easy place to spend the day by the ocean. The beach in front of Gurney’s is also a favorite when you want to pair time by the water with a more leisurely afternoon.

A few True Hydrate sachets are always tucked into our beach bag, making it easy to replenish electrolytes after a swim, a long walk, or an afternoon in the sun. It's a simple ritual that helps you stay hydrated and feeling your best while making the most of long summer days.

Where We're Eating

Some of the best meals in the Hamptons aren't elaborate, they're simple, seasonal, and shared with good company.

For breakfast or a casual lunch, Harbor Market & Kitchen is one of our favorite stops for fresh salads, sandwiches, and beautifully prepared grab-and-go meals. Tutto Caffè is our go-to for coffee while wandering Southampton.

When there's time to slow down, we'll usually make our way to Lulu Kitchen & Bar, where wood-fired cooking and seasonal ingredients are always the focus. Tutto il Giorno remains an East End classic for Italian food, while Bostwick's Chowder House is perfect for fresh seafood after a day by the water. If you're craving something more casual, Townline BBQ never disappoints.

Don't Miss Golden Hour

Few places capture a Hamptons summer quite like Wölffer Estate Vineyard. As the afternoon gives way to evening, the vineyard becomes one of our favorite places to gather, slow down, and toast another day spent out East.

See You Out East

The Hamptons has a way of reminding us that wellness isn't built through one grand gesture, but rather found in the smaller moments. A movement class before the day begins. Fresh food shared around a table. Time outdoors. Conversations that linger a little longer. The simple rituals that leave you feeling more connected by the end of the day than when it began.

If you are spending time on the East End this summer, we hope this guide helps you discover a few new favorites and create rituals of your own along the way.
